Alice Gerlini is Researcher in Microbiotec srl. She get the Master Degree in Medical Biology in 2009 and the PhD in Medical Biotechnology in 2013 in the section of Microbial Biotechnology, Vaccines and Infectious disease at the University of Siena. In the 2013 she start to work at Microbiotec srl in which the main research activities include microbial biotechnology with particular relevance in the characterization of bacterial lysates, formulation of recombinant vaccine vectors with adjuvants for the analysis of the immune response following different routes of immunization in animal models and transcriptome analysis through bioinformatics approach to profile the molecular pattern activated in vaccinated hosts. She’s been involved in many Scientific Projects as ADITEC (“Advanced Immunization Technologies”) and MOTIF (“Microbicide Optimization Through Innovative Formulation”) supported by the European Commission (EC), and VSV-EBOVAC (“Vaccine safety and immunogenicity signature of human responses to VSV-ZEBOV”) and VSV-EBOPLUS (“Systems analysis of adult and pediatric response to the VSV-ZEBOV Ebola vaccine”) funded by the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI2).
